The weather is improving (I hope
I haven’t spoken too soon) and the children are having lots of fun being able
to go out in our beautiful outdoor area for longer periods in the day. The
daffodils are pushing their way through in the children’s own gardening area
and we will soon be able to start planting again.
The library is being used by a
good number of our families and we know those children who are using the
facility, and taking books home to read with parents, are enjoying it. For
those of you who are not familiar with this, we have a library area in the
little room round the corridor from Millie’s office. We welcome parents taking
home a book to read with their child and exchanging it next time they are in
nursery. Please ask a member of staff if you are not sure.
The pre-school children have been
enjoying story times in the nursery and in particular the story of “The
Gruffalo”. Their story corner has been transformed into a wood and the children
have done some wonderful art and creative work to extend their enjoyment. They have
also extended this into their outdoor play and love looking for the
“Gruffalo”!!!!
We are pleased to announce that
Shelley who works in our baby unit has now been with us for 20 years!!!!!!! We
had our own celebrations for this last week and we give her our congratulations
and thanks for all the love and care she has shown to so many families.
