Welcome to The White House Children's Nurseries

The White House Nursery was first opened in 1987 and was the first nursery of its kind in Derbyshire. Since those early days the nursery has expanded and developed to meet the needs of today’s parents and their children.

Our aims at the White House are to provide a secure, loving, caring environment in which all children have the opportunities to reach their full potential emotionally, socially and educationally through ‘hands on’ experiences and having FUN.

Our day nursery is located at 164 Derby Road, Borrowash, Derby.

The White House Children’s Nurseries, as a company, endeavours to meet the individual requirements of each and every family’s needs. The transfer of children from unit to unit or Day Nursery to Nursery School is made as smoothly as possible by excellent communication and gradual introduction to their new environment. We have continual assessment of each child’s progression in the form of oral and written records.

Regular staff meetings and communication on a day to day basis ensure that the White House is run as one company with each department working towards the same aims. Parents are encouraged to become involved in events within the nursery. i.e. parent group, parent evenings, garden parties, sports days, festivals, celebrations etc.

We can accommodate children with special needs. Staff are experienced and ready to learn techniques which may be particular to a new child.

Free/subsided places are available to those who qualify.

▪

We accept all employer vouchers where money is deducted from salaries.

▪

Children attending the White House Nurseries will have first option of any vacancies within the kids club – out of school care.
